Job Description
- Exposure to broad variety of work in the patent research domain including Identifying key application areas of a given technology to help assessing its patentability
- Compared patent pending technology with competing technologies based on cost and ease of use
- Analyzed scope of patents by understanding their claims and reviewing similar patents
- Conduct search for relevant prior art to assess patentability of given technology
- Conduct freedom to operate studies and prior art searches in the field of healthcare
- Conduct patent mapping for products
- Conduct patent portfolio analysis of a company to determine its innovation strategy
- Benchmark patent families to identify key patents
- Demonstrate familiarity and strengths in performing information searches and addressing queries in Patent Databases such as Thomson Innovation Questel Innography STN database like CAPLUS DERWENT Micropatent PatBase
- Knowledge of the various category segment is required like technologies competitors and market understanding
- The candidate should have good communication skills ability to execute short turnaround and longterm projects
- The candidate should be able to work well in a matrix team structure ensuring that priorities of different onshore partners are met
- Presentation and Report writing Creating reports that offer contextually relevant insights and recommendation and ability to present the findings to an audience with attention to detail
- The selected candidate will have to sign a mandatory SLA of 18 months
Qualifications
1 to 2 year experience in patent research for Consumer Healthcare Pharmaceutical Business Research
