Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW: SNAPSHOT

A key member of the BU Leadership Team who will influence and deliver tactical and strategic initiatives that will drive toward achieving the medium to long term objectives of the BU (Business Unit). This role will report into the Chief Growth Officer with a dotted line to the Business Unit Head. You will be part of highly motivated, driven, and high performing sales team.

The ideal candidate will have domain understanding and expertise of Trucking & Railroad, Ocean, Air Express business. He/ She will have strong cross-functional experience in driving business transformation, business growth and business development within these industries. Should be able to drive new business sales for WNS by demonstrating the ability to source, qualify, strategize, pitch and close large/complex multi tower BPM deals.

What makes you a great fit

  • Overall Experience 20 years +, at least 10 + years of sales leadership experience in BPM industry.
  • Strong domain understanding of Transportation Management, Fleet Management, LTL, Logistics, Container shipping, Freight Forwarding. Must understand Operations and cost structure of industry  
  • Experience in selling large complex multi tower BPM services to the Shipping & Logistics market.
  • Bachelor's degree with working experience at the senior executive level within the Shipping & Logistics industry. Should have managed direct revenue targets of 50 Mn $ + with direct client interface / CXO connects.
  • Strong connections with influencers/key decision makers across these industry
  • Experience in setting up / market making / build of business would be a bonus.
  • Commercial acumen and professional rigor around important details such as reviewing contract terms and conditions
  • Proven ability to work well in a matrixed environment, across multiple stakeholder groups, and influence all levels within an organization to get things done.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through the type of ambiguity and fluidity that can come with a business that is being transformed for growth.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and public presentation skills.
  • A desire to win, allied to strong ethical values and professional integrity.
  • Ability to travel (approximately 70%)
