Job Description
As HealthHelp’s Senior Technical Analyst, you will play a critical role in the advancement of the organization’s mission to partner with health plans to manage care in a complex, ever-changing environment. Our proven and predictable evidence-based model helps ensure the best outcomes while controlling unnecessary costs.
The Senior Technical Analyst is a member of the Platform Product team and will be responsible for translating functional requirements into platform technology requirements including defining and prioritizing the development team’s backlog to streamline the execution of HealthHelp’s roadmap and program priorities. This position understands the product vision and works closely with stakeholders (e.g. Product and Program Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers, Quality Assurance) to cultivate and nurture a community around the product.
The ideal candidate must possess a blend of product, business, and technical expertise with a big picture vision along with the drive to make visions a reality.
• Identify minimal viable product (MVP), objectives and key results, and key performance indicators within the Product Backlog.
• Own, prioritize, and maintain the Product Backlog, including definition of epics, user stories, acceptance criteria.
• Serve as the “voice of the customer” with delivery teams, representing/reinforcing the customer ‘s perspective throughout the product realization cycle.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, business analysts, developers, testers, and others to develop and execute Product Roadmaps and Release Plans.
• Continuously and transparently communicate with internal stakeholders the prioritization of the Product Backlog and the status of development efforts via Product Demos and Release Plans.
• Define, prioritize, and drive realization of specific product vision.
• Work with the Scrum Master to help direct, motivate, and guide the delivery teams.
• Break down epic-level user stories into detail-level stories consumable and testable by a scrum team.
• Collaborate with User Experience partners in usability testing and the development of the user design.
• Provide direction and support to development and quality assurance teams.
• Promote and drive Agile development methodology throughout the work and teams.
• Ensure that Scrum Team deliverables meet agreed-upon standards for quality and non-functional requirements, and that the products meet the stated business need.
• Work with Business SMEs, Engineering Manager, Data Architect, Engineers, UX designer and other team members to ensure the product functionality is appropriately documented.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, business or related field, required.
• 7 years of experience in the healthcare IT industry, required.
• 5 years of healthcare technology product and analyst skills with experience in all phases of SDLC & Agile Methodology, required.
• Experience in the payer space, preferred.
• Knowledge of health system functions, claims data, terminology, and standard ICD9/10 and CPT coding experience, preferred.
• Rally/JIRA software experience, preferred.
• Experience acting as a Product Owner for multiple scrum teams: writing user stories, and following the development process through user story acceptance.
• Experience developing Web-based software, ideally via Lean/Agile scrum methodology.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects, demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Passion for customers and a demonstrated focus on customer experience
• Demonstrated ability to meet commitments, build consensus, negotiate resolutions, and garner respect from other teams.
• Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication with both technical and business audiences.
• Superior data manipulation skills and ability to understand and interpret operational data and or processes.
• Intermediate to Advanced skills with Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio Project) necessary to document, track and present information related to the program/products supported.
• Strong Ad-hoc SQL query skills.
• Ability and demeanor to work in a dynamic environment while juggling multiple project priorities.
