Job Description

• Develop and implement training programs that align with the needs of the trade finance team• Deliver training sessions and provide coaching to staff to ensure their competency in trade finance• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes• Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, guides, and presentations• Keep up to date with industry trends and developments to ensure training programs remain current and relevant• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the integration of trade finance training with other areas of the business• Develop and maintain relationships with external training providers to access industry-specific training opportunities• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements through the development of appropriate training programsRequirements:• Minimum of 8 years of experience in trade finance• CDCS or CSDG certification is a must• Excellent knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, ISP, URR, URDG, Incoterms, and other trade finance regulations and guidelines• Familiarity with Swift messaging and other electronic trade finance platforms• Ability to train staff on the correct use of trade finance documentation and procedures• Knowledge of risk management and fraud prevention in trade finance• Understanding of the trade finance needs of different industries and sectors• Experience with creating and delivering virtual training programs is a plus• Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Strong training and facilitation skills• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred• Strong organizational and project management skillsThe Trade Finance Training Manager must have a strong understanding of UCP 600, ISBP, ISP, URR, URDG, Incoterms, Swift, and other trade finance regulations and guidelines to provide expert training to the trade finance team. The successful candidate must be able to train staff on the correct use of trade finance documentation and procedures, including the correct completion of trade finance documents and the processing of electronic transactions.In addition, the Trade Finance Training Manager must have knowledge of risk management and fraud prevention in trade finance, and the ability to provide staff with the necessary skills to identify and mitigate these risks. They must also have an understanding of the trade finance needs of different industries and sectors, and the ability to tailor training programs to meet the specific needs of these sectors.Experience with creating and delivering virtual training programs is a plus, as is knowledge of additional languages. The Trade Finance Training Manager must be able to effectively communicate complex trade finance concepts to staff at all levels of the organization, and have the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve training objectives
