Job Description

The position is an exciting and challenging opportunity that will require the successful candidate to contribute significantly to enabling the Company's people objectives & growth plans.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment
  • Induction & On-boarding of leadership
  • Employee Engagement through partnering with the operation
  • Talent Management by managing talent reviews, probation process, succession planning, etc.
  • Attrition and Absence Management
  • Industrial Relations (including representation at CCMA)
  • Analytics and Reporting
  • HR Projects
  • Managing a team of junior HRBPs

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in human resource management or industrial psychology

Additional Information

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience as an HR Generalist
  • Management of a small team is desirable 
  • Experience in representing the business at the CCMA (including up to arbitration)
  • Preference will be given to candidates with call center/BPO experience
  • Working knowledge of all SA Labour Legislation
  • Ability to work independently, build partnerships, function under pressure and show initiative

This position supports both the Durban sites (Newlands East and Cornubia) and will therefore require travel to both sites.
