Job Description

The Group Manager - Procurement Data Engineering/Analytics will be part of a client procurement service delivery team, creating and maintaining operational reports and dashboards (for measuring and tracking volumes, cycle times, KPIs, and SLAs) in accordance with client-specific operating guidelines. The analyst will be working with cross-functional, business stakeholders to gather specific requirements, understand process, and help making better, data driven decisions. Specific requirements may include analyzing processes, root causing issues, creating data pipelines, writing complex queries, designing dashboards, data extraction & analysis, ad hoc reporting, etc.

 

Key Responsibilities / Job Duties

Combine process & analytics through SQL, Hive, Presto, MySQL Databases and Tableau and related visualizations.

  • Create & maintain databases, views, dashboards, and reports measuring various SLAs and KPIs for tracking different metrics. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Respond to stakeholders’ ad hoc inquiries & help with extracting data, creating reports.
  • Understand underlined processes and tools and how they affect existing as well as newly requested reports / dashboards
  • Validate and verify data sources with extensive testing to maintain high confidence level.
  • Design, maintain, and enhance dashboards (Tableau and others)
  • Suggest and make changes in existing processes and metrics measures to increase efficiency & effectiveness.
  • Automate & simplify processes for reporting, measuring, and tracking metrics. Help with various process improvement initiatives with combination of qualitative and quantitative inputs
  • Write complex SQL queries to define data sources to be used independently (and/or for feeding into dashboards)
  • Drive 100% accuracy in the entire process.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather specific requirements & increase data driven decision making.
  • Create informative & actionable reports which highlight relevant business process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master's Degree in Information Management, Analytics, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • 7+ years of work experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in business & data analysis functions - creating and maintaining data pipelines, Tableau dashboards, SQL (or similar languages)
