Job Description

The Procurement Analyst will be part of a client procurement service delivery team, driving the parts of operational procurement process in accordance with client specific operating guidelines; supporting third party risk management activities and will act as the face of procurement and key support for client's business stakeholders.  These positions are best suited to candidates with either:

(1) Procurement & supply chain degrees; or

(2) Entry level procurement experience.

Candidates should have a strong sense of customer service, a proactive attitude and desire to continue growing their understanding of end of end procure.  This role will enable foundation building in a very fast and demanding environment with clear path and opportunity to develop and growth source to contract skills as next step in career growth.  

Key Responsibilities / Job Duties

Procurement Operation Execution:

  • Respond to general enquiries from end users and assist in PR creation.
  • Update regularly on delayed/aged PRs
  • Conduct Root Cause analysis for delayed PRs. Reduce PR to PO cycle time.
  • Drive 100% accuracy in the entire process
  • Draft SOW based on end user requirements, if required
  • Ensure completeness of all contracts. Upload contracts and cover sheets in the central contracts management tool. Engage with stakeholders to drive the contract completion process.
  • Answer any and every question submitted by client business stakeholders from what to, how to instructions on end to end procurement and redirect to the right person/ department as needed.  This means understanding how Procurement at client operates and the R&Rs of difference departments that interface. 
  • Need to be able to work in multiple tools to find answers
  • Need to understand the roles of teams within procurement
  • Responsible for raising PRs for end users and collecting the relevant information to complete the PR accurate for procurement
  • Be able to problem solve and proactive think through next steps 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Expected to understand – or rapidly learn - end to end Source to Pay procurement –  team members will be SPOCs for end users
  • Highly effective communicator; this may take precedence over technical skills
  • Problem solving, critical thinking, abstract reasoning; this may take precedence over technical skills for the right candidates
  • Stakeholder management and understanding of end user experience - this may take precedence over technical skills for the right candidates
  • Ability to read stakeholders and react appropriately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• A minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in operational, procurement, sourcing or service desk management

Procurement Functional/Technical Skills

  • General knowledge and understanding of sourcing/procurement fundamentals
  • Ideally working experience with at least one eProcurement tool (e.g., Scout, Coupa, Ariba, SAP, Oracle, etc.) or technology savvy

  • Ability to learn client specific processes, terminology, systems and unique requirements by various business groups
