Job Description

  • Help support Asset Management, Quality & Reliability Engineering programs and initiatives that ensure consistency across client data centers globally, while demonstrating excellence in execution and consensus-building across cross-functional teams.
  • Help establish conformity of equipment and component data (via Part Numbers - PN) across data center fleet
  • Take existing Master List of firmware versions and review for completeness. Work with Client and Suppliers to ensure all equipment is listed and current supplier approved version is detailed with date released, release notes, and who confirmed the information.
  • Analyze and cross reference equipment requiring firmware with existing PNs. If these PNs do not exist, it would require a hierarchy approach and assign to next level up.
  • Work with multiple client stakeholders to review what versions are installed in the field, this task can be further evaluated on the critical, difficulty, and need, but should be at least completed for equipment.
  • Analyze missing firmware PN and manufacturing part numbers for versions.
  • The employee should have the knowledge to generate an Agile ECO for each equipment firmware task request using the proper life-cycles used for part numbers and send to PLM for review and routing for approval.
  • The individual would review ECO requests for new PNs for asset and component level data to ensure it meets client standards and route them to approval to PLM team
  • Work cross-functionally and across regions to develop detailed business requirements and quantify pain points around operational issues.
  • Serve as a data expert leveraging analytical and technical skills to successfully support operational needs, program direction, and tools development
  • Maintain master asset files & templates, update data reporting, and review approval requests for various asset management activities
  • Help Improve Firmware Change Control Management, Improve Supplier Quality and help Reduce Risk to Data Centers

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Oracle PLM Agile preferred with generating part numbers and ECOs.
  • 10+ years of total work experience and relevant experience in Document control management, with a demonstrated track record of leadership in the supporting large-scale programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail·  
  • Experience with understanding Firmware Change Control Management, Improve Supplier Quality and help Reduce Risk to Data Centers
  • Experience adapting, learning new skill sets, and creating a solid understanding of operational challenges.
  • Experience working directly with management as well as people at all levels, including the executive level, both inside and outside of the company.
  • Experience executing on multiple implied and explicit tasks simultaneously
  • 5+ years’ experience as Document control Specialist

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years total work experience
  • Oracle PLM Agile preferred with generating part numbers and ECOs
  • Data center or critical facility operations experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or another advanced degree, and/or Document control Certification or other similar certifications
  • Knowledge of Product Life Cycle Management tooling (Agile)
