Role Responsibilities:

·         Ingesting client data files, in a variety of formats.

·         Extract, Transfer & Load data - Data extraction, manipulation and maintenance

·         Transforming and loading the client data into our standard database structure.

·         Create and configure ETL load jobs for data ingestion into a standard data schema

·         Automate report distribution through schedules

·         Create and maintenance of SSIS packages

·         Create and maintain  SSRS reports

·         Analyse reporting requirements from a data, formatting, and report workflow perspective

·         Monitor production runs to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of reports

·         Engage in regular interaction with ops and clients, to ensure that they’re being kept up to date on project and document production delivery

·         Ask questions or escalate to find solutions where appropriate

Qualifications Required:

Essential

·         Matric/Grade 12 Certificate

·         Hold or working towards a certification or equivalent in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Informatics or other similar fields

Beneficial

·         An understanding of call centers and measures would be beneficial but is not essential.

Experience Required:

Essential

·         Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a MI/BI environment

·         Able to demonstrate experience and understanding in the following areas:

o   Ability to identify and source data points to deliver relevant reporting

o   Extract, Transfer & Load process - Data extraction, manipulation and maintenance (Microsoft Office, Microsoft SQL, Excel) 

o   Understanding of Data Structures

o   Automate ETL processes with VBA/Python/C#

o   Intermediate or above T-SQL development experience – required to write and debug advanced SQL, experience with functions, stored procedures, tables, and views.

o   Proven knowledge, fault finding ability using SSIS/SSDT

o   Able to check data integrity and ensure data compliance

o   Create and maintain SSRS reports

Beneficial

·         Experience of visualization tools would be beneficial – Tableau, Power BI

·         Ability to understand end to end process’s and make recommendations to aid in development of operational and client reporting
