Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Answers calls from Injured Workers (IW) and immediately determines the severity of the injury 
•    Immediately beginning first aid at the onset of a call
•    Gathers basic information about the IW
•    Identifying urgent/emergent situations
•    Utilize medical guidelines to assess IW
•    Directing the IW to the most appropriate level of care and facility
•    Educating the IW on self-treatment and next level of care
•    Adheres to all appropriate privacy, security and confidentiality policies and procedures.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

•    US Registered Nurse (USRN) with applicable state compact license(s), required
•    Unencumbered licenses with zero history of disciplinary action on any license, required
•    3+ recent years of adult medicine work experience in Emergency Room (ER), Med Surg, or ICU experience, required
•    Ability to hard line internet into computer equipment provided, required
•    Internet upload speed of 5 mbps and download of 25 mbps, required (verified at onboarding)
•    HIPAA compliant room, required (verified at onboarding)
•    Prior experience in a fast-paced in-bound call center environment, preferred 
•    Good communication skills
•    Good computer skills
•    Excellent keyboarding skills
•    Ability to type, talk and think in English at the same time
•    Work contingency plan if nurse has internet outage

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•    Business office environment or HIPAA compliant remote location
•    Ability to use telephone for up to 8 hours unassisted
•    Ability to sit for up to 8 hours unassisted
•    Ability to enter data for up to 8 hours unassisted
•    Ability to view PC screen for up to 8 hours
•    Ability to prioritize in a multi-task environment
