Job Description:

The Procurement  Sr. Analyst or Associate will be part of a client procurement service delivery team, driving analytics to support the strategic sourcing function in accordance with client-specific operating guidelines. Specific requirements will include analyzing complex data and industry information leveraging multiple sources and tools in support of strategic sourcing projects
Key Responsibilities / Job Duties

Procurement Operation Execution:

  • Run and provide reports with product information and movement data.
  • Perform complex data analysis including spend, pricing, product volumes, and savings.
  • Develop models to forecast and actualize savings.
  • Conduct analysis to support opportunity assessments to drive cost reductions.
  • Work within sourcing teams to support sourcing recommendations.
  • Assist in developing RFx content, evaluating RFx responses, and developing negotiation plans.
  • Respond to general inquiries from procurement and business stakeholders.
  • Draft SOW based on end-user requirements, if required
  • Track delivery of products with the vendors

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in vendor selection
  •  Procurement Analysts may also support the delivery of other Denali’s procurement and sourcing services including: supplier performance management, and contract administration

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• A minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in operational, procurement, sourcing or service desk management

  • Must be strong in Excel, up to Pivot tables, vlookups, if/then statements. 
  • Some experience with databases and queries.
  • Must have analytic strengths and experience with financial models and savings forecasts/savings actualizations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Procurement Functional/Technical Skills:

  • General knowledge and understanding of sourcing/procurement fundamentals
  • Working experience with at least one eProcurement tool (e.g., Ariba, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Client Services Capabilities:

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to learn client-specific processes, terminology, systems, and unique requirements by various business groups

Business Fundamentals:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (internally, with client stakeholders, and the supplier community)
  • Ability to summarize information
  • Ability to follow a process based on documented guidelines
  • Strong team player
  • Proficiency in MS communication tools: MS Word, Outlook, Live Meeting
  • Understanding of how businesses categorize costs and capture/document savings.
  • Ability to gather large amounts of data and apply an analytical approach to evaluate and segment the data to draw insights to make informed decisions.
