Job Description

Under supervision of corporate counsel, Legal assistant will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Legal group, including carrying out administrative services, providing support to the Legal group and serve as liaison between the company’s Legal and Operating groups. The position will be assisting in handling logistics service contracts and managing logistics-related licenses and insurance. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete administrative duties such as making copies, scanning documents, answering and directing phone calls.
  • Coordinate appointments, including all correspondence and logistics necessary.
  • Draft documents and letters using proper templates.
  • Manage legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence.
  • Correspond with counsel, court, and clients and carriers.
  • Maintain and update electronic and hard copy records.
  • Represent the company as the primary administrative contact on assigned contracts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience as a legal assistant.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent computer skills including using company intranet and MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to take direction and work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and the ability to work extended hours as required.
  • Experience in corporate law and knowledge of commercial transactions preferred.
  • Industry knowledge in logistics and supply chains is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Korean is a plus but not mandatory

 

Physical Demands:

  • The position requires the ability to talk and hear while performing the duties of this job.
  • The position requires the ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. 
  • The position requires dexterity to write and use computer keyboard and mouse.
  • The position requires multitasking and solving complex issues, occasionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products, materials and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
