Job Description

The Customs Import Administrator is responsible for ensuring all assigned Customs entry documents and related filings are processed accurately and in a timely manner; in accordance with all applicable regulatory and company requirements.

  • Receive, review, and distribute documentation in ensure regulatory compliance of a variety of participating government agencies
  • Interface with Customs and other government agencies
  • Determine and track duties and taxes payable and process payments on behalf of client
  • Accurate and timely ISF and Customs entry filing
  • Adherence to procedures and productivity standards
  • Maintain and update customer/importers profiles
  • Participate and support other team members with accounts and workload on day-to-day operations
  • Handle accounting processes as they apply to CHB including the issuance of invoices to customers or overseas offices as well as the processing of payment requisitions
  • Timely response to customer inquiries and status requests
  • To notify management of any customer complaints or entry discrepancies and provide suggestions to resolve issues
  • Complete workload duties within normal and reasonable processing times
  • Assist with the creation of client sops
  • Ensure maximum customer service satisfaction through interaction with clients and other company business units
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Logistics/import experience a plus
  • Analytical, and excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong cross-functional teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Products and other applications
  • Knowledge of all US Customs Requirements and other Government Agencies
