Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
Your main responsibility will be to organise the dispatch department, managing goods in/out and the delivery of customer orders.
This role will involve;
- processing orders
- operating mechanical and IT systems
- liaising with customers
- maintaining statistical and financial records
- ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met
- ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
- coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods
You will be responsible for training and supervising a team of three, ensuring staff have the necessary tools and training to fulfil their objectives.
You will be liaising with customers via email and telephone and therefore should have excellent communication skills.
Stock control systems must be kept up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy, therefore you must have good attention to detail.
Other duties will also include:
- Planning future capacity requirements
- Organising the training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance, their progress and overall productivity
- Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Briefing team leaders on a daily basis
- Overseeing the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Overseeing stock control and processing orders
- Fulfilling objectives and directions from management
- Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce
- Managing of QMS systems for ISO9001 & ISO14001
Essential
- Good Computer Skills (Excel and Word)
- Warehouse Management Experience
- People Management
- Good Customer Service
Desirable but not essential
- First aid trained
- Fire champion or fire safety trained
- Experience working in a warehouse that processes or manufactures electronic devices
- Experience in waste management

The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00, 40 hours a week, with some overtime available during busy periods.
