Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Your main duties will be organising the dispatch and delivery of goods, ensuring goods are stored safely and be responsible for all goods in /out. You will be responsible for the training of new staff and supervising and conducting performance reviews on the dispatch assistants. 

You will be processing orders, operating mechanical and IT systems, liaising with customers, maintaining statistical and financial records, ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.

You will be liaising with customers via email and telephone and therefore should have excellent communication skills.

Stock control systems must be kept up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy, therefore you must have good attention to detail.

Other duties will also include:

  • Planning future capacity requirements
  • Organising recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
  • Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
  • briefing team leaders on a daily basis;
  • Overseeing the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Overseeing stock control and processing orders
  • fulfilling objectives and directions from management
  • motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce
  • Managing of QMS systems for ISO9001 & ISO14001

Essential

  • Good Computer Skills (Excel and Word)
  • Warehouse Management Experience
  • People Management
  • Good Customer Service

Desirable but not essential

  • First aid trained
  • Fire champion or fire safety trained
  • Experience working in a warehouse that processes or makes mobile phones or other electronic devices

The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00, 40 hours a week, with some overtime available during busy periods.
