Job Description
The Flagship Retail Experience Manager sits within the HQ Community team and is responsible for bringing Vuori’s Community mission to life through elevated, store-based experiences. This leader will oversee flagship stores as innovation hubs for customer connection, product storytelling, community engagement, and brand-building. The role will influence cross-functional strategy across Community, Marketing, Product, Retail, and Operations while piloting new ideas, testing scalable programming concepts, and building the playbook for what flagship retail can uniquely deliver. Once the flagship experience model is established, this role will train store and cross-functional teams to execute the program consistently as new stores open and flagship expectations expand. This role will spend the majority of time in-store, with some time spent at HQ for meetings, planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll get to do:
- Develop and deliver a year-round flagship experience strategy and calendar aligned to Vuori’s Community mission, brand priorities, product moments, retail goals, and marketing campaigns.
- Oversee flagship stores as elevated experience destinations, ensuring each location serves as a test-and-learn environment for new community, retail, and brand engagement ideas.
- Pilot new programming concepts, evaluate results, and translate learnings into scalable standards, tools, and recommendations for future flagship and high-priority store openings.
- Write and maintain the flagship experience playbook, including programming standards, operating rhythms, roles and responsibilities, event formats, customer engagement expectations, and recap processes.
- Train store teams, Community partners, and cross-functional stakeholders on the flagship experience model once programs are established, ensuring consistent execution as the program scales.
- Partner closely with Community, Marketing, Product, Retail, and Operations to concept, plan, and execute recurring flagship activations, workshops, pop-ups, launches, and community gatherings.
- Influence cross-functional decision-making by bringing forward store insights, customer trends, community feedback, and pilot learnings that shape the future of Vuori’s retail experience strategy.
- Own end-to-end event production and logistics, including budgeting, vendors, timelines, staffing, set-up, on-site hosting, troubleshooting, and post-event recaps.
- Ensure each experience reflects Vuori’s Community mission, brand voice, visual standards, and customer engagement goals across every touchpoint.
- Build and maintain relationships with local creators, partners, customers, and community organizations to create inclusive experiences that drive participation and connection.
- Collect customer, store, and cross-functional feedback; measure and report monthly outcomes including attendance, engagement, product storytelling impact, community participation, pilot performance, scalability, and opportunities to improve the flagship experience model.
Qualifications
Who you are:
- Current General Manager-level experience or above, with proven ability to lead store teams, influence business priorities, and execute at a high operational standard.
- Relevant experience in community building, retail leadership, experiential marketing, event production, customer experience, communications, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.
- Experience developing, piloting, and scaling customer-facing events, activations, workshops, launches, or community programming.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution while building repeatable processes, training materials, and playbooks for broader team adoption.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, vendors, timelines, staffing, store partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities, with the confidence to influence peers, senior leaders, and field teams.
- Creative mindset with a passion for customer-centric experiences, product storytelling, and community engagement.
- Comfort spending the majority of time in-store to lead, observe, train, and support activations, with some time at HQ for meetings, planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
