Job Description
The Country IT Manager, China is responsible for leading and overseeing all technology services and operations for Vuori’s China entity, including corporate offices and retail stores. This role serves as the primary technology leader and advocate for China, ensuring local business needs, regulatory requirements, and market realities are represented, while aligning fully with Vuori’s global technology standards, architecture, and security policies.
This individual will manage in‑country technology partners, support retail store operations and new store builds, enable office technology, and act as a key liaison between China leadership, HQ Technology, Information Security, and other global functions.
What you'll get to do:
- Lead and oversee all IT services and operations for Vuori’s China entity across corporate offices and retail stores
- Serve as the primary technology leader and advocate for China, representing local business needs while aligning with global IT strategy and standards
- Partner closely with China business leadership to enable growth, operational excellence, and technology‑driven outcomes
- Ensure consistent delivery and support of retail store technology, including POS, networking, endpoints, peripherals, and in‑store systems
- Support new store builds, and remodels, coordinating with HQ Retail Technology teams and local vendors to deliver on time and to standard
- Oversee office and end‑user technology, including devices, collaboration tools, identity access, and employee onboarding/offboarding
- Manage and govern in‑country IT vendors, service providers, and system integrators, including performance, SLAs, escalations, and delivery quality
- Own and manage the China IT budget, including forecasting, vendor spend, cost optimization, and alignment with global financial controls and approvals
- Partner with HQ Technology teams to ensure adherence to global architecture, tooling, standards, and roadmaps
- Partner with HQ Information Security & Privacy to implement, enforce, and monitor security policies, controls, and compliance requirements
- Ensure technology environments meet local regulatory requirements while maintaining Vuori’s global security and compliance standards
- Act as the initial escalation point for incidents, risks, and operational issues impacting China technology services
- Maintain accurate documentation, asset inventories, and operational runbooks for the China environment
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across service delivery, reliability, security, and cost efficiency
Qualifications
Who you are:
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with regional or country‑level responsibility preferred
- Experience leading IT operations for offices and distributed retail environments
- Demonstrated success managing third‑party IT vendors, integrators, and service providers
- Proven experience operating within a global enterprise IT model, balancing local needs with centralized standards
- Strong understanding of end‑user computing, networking, infrastructure, identity, and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Experience partnering closely with Information Security teams to implement and enforce security standards
- Experience supporting technology operations in China, including local vendors and regulatory considerations
- Prior experience in retail, consumer brands, or multi‑site environments
- Experience Leading POS implementations (i.e. Pekon, Oracle Xstore, NewStore, or Retailpro)
- Experience owning and managing in‑country IT budgets, including forecasting, vendor spend, cost optimization, and alignment to global financial controls
- Ability to work effectively across cultures, languages, and time zones
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English preferred
