Job Description
The Manager Global HTS & Duty Compliance will ensure Vuori meets international trade compliance in our import and export operations. You will control, manage, and be accountable for all aspects of customs, duties, tariffs, duty-drawback, refunds & exclusions, and maintenance of foreign trade master data. The ideal candidate will have both import and export experience and will be active in evaluating our current regulatory compliance systems and practices and lead in identifying potential risks.
What you'll get to do:
- Serve as Global Trade Compliance Subject Matter Expert supporting the resolution of import and export transactional compliance. May include investigating and analyzing and/or defining corrective measures on a transactional basis or systemic level.
- Partner in day-to-day compliance matters with internal and external partners in Production, Logistics, Sourcing, Accounting, Customs Brokers, and Freight Forwarders.
- Implement Vuori’s Global Trade Compliance Program as directed by leadership.
- Support the development of US Customs Trusted Trader programs (Importer Self-Assessment -ISA and Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism -C-TPAT), ACH Periodic Month Statements, Duty Drawback, Bonds, Management Reports and KPIs and oversees transactional processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness and conformity to company policies and US regulations.
- Work cross functionally with Apparel Development teams to review seasonal line and offer duty engineering suggestions where applicable
- Implementing, managing, and collaborating on trade compliance programs.
- Conducting risk assessments and evaluating effectiveness of internal controls for global trade.
- Identifying compliance gaps and recommending process improvements for global supply chain.
- Monitor imports and exports to ensure timely clearance and resolve problems, as necessary.
- Audit and retention of customs entry summaries, duty payments, and associated records.
- Strong Apparel classification skills for USA, CA, UK/EU, and understanding of customs valuation
- Strong understanding and knowledge of General Rules of Interpretation
- Formalize, document and update processes for compliance
- Keep updated on all US Customs and other government agency compliance changes in regulations
- Understanding of IMMEX
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Who you are:
- 7+ years of experience with 3 years specific experience in Import/ Trade Compliance, including the administration of Free Trade Agreements, USHTS classification, and import brokerage operations.
- Prefer Licensed Customs Broker, or a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
- Effective communication both written and verbal
- Strong technical knowledge of customs laws and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of international trade, including
- US import and export regulations
- Free Trade Agreements
- Origin and Marking determination.
- HTS classification
- Customs valuation
- Duty Drawback
- International documentation requirements
- Incoterms
- C-TPAT
- Importer Self-Assessment
- Microsoft Office skills required with strong knowledge in Excel, ERP and D365 preferred.
- Travel is limited.

The salary range for this role is $93,400 per year - $120,120 per year.
