As an Associate Designer on the Outerwear Design Team at Vuori Clothing, you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative, stylish, and functional apparel for our customers. We are seeking an Associate Designer to support the development & execution of the Men’s and Women’s Outerwear assortment. This individual will be responsible for aiding the design process, including but not limited to: concept, research, design, tech pack creation, BOM development, fabric selection, trim selection, fitting, and finessing product. To be effective in this role, the individual must be eager to learn and support the team in any way needed, have an eye for elevated design, and have a basic understanding of Vuori aesthetics. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the performance apparel space, Vuori’s mission and will embody the brand’s values.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working closely with the Design Team to research trend, style inspiration, and trim
• Managing an assortment of styles within your category, working closely with senior team members to develop design-informed solutions for our customers.
• Exhibit organization and clear communication to thrive in a high-paced work environment with an advanced multi-track calendar
• Overseeing and supporting on product visuals and tech pack creation/updates.
• Integrating market knowledge, trend research, and insights from our community to create designs that are functional, innovative, and of the highest quality.
• Demonstrating a strong understanding of apparel market trends and competitive landscape.
• Design and execute industry-leading, highly functional styles that reflect Vuori's design ethos and meet our customers’ needs.
• Ensuring the accurate communication of design intent through the fitting process, collaborating with the in-house team to create mockups and prototypes.
• Promoting teamwork and clear communication within the cross-functional team, including product development, technical design, merchandising, materials, color, and sourcing.
• Maintaining keen attention to detail throughout the product development process to create technically excellent performance apparel and accessories that seamlessly blend style and function
• Partner with ambassadors/athletes to continuously elevate existing and explore customer needs.

• A bachelor’s degree in design (BA, BFA, or BS) or equivalent qualifications.
• 3+ years of experience in the contemporary fashion industry.
• Lifestyle outerwear experience required, technical outerwear experience a plus.
• Must live in the San Diego area or be willing to relocate.
• Proficient at Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Teams, and PLM.
• Familiarity with Excel, Word, Powerpoint and the Mac platform.
• Knowledge of 3D design is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range: $72,000-$85,000/yr
