Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Facilities and Security, the Health and Safety Manager will be critical to the success of the growing and dynamic team at Vuori. The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety strategy aligned with company goals and objectives for our Headquarters, Distribution Centers, and Retail stores. 
  • Continuously evaluate and update strategies to address emerging health and safety risks and challenges. 
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to ensure readiness for potential emergencies, such as natural disasters or health crises. 
  • Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency response plans. 
  • Function as the subject matter expert for the interpretation, application and compliance with regulatory and industry safety standards, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.  
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to investigate incidents thoroughly and implement corrective actions as necessary. 
  • Design and deliver health and safety training programs for Vuori employees, contractors and visitors.  
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and prevent workplace accidents and injuries. 
  • Establish protocols for reporting and investigating workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses. 
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability through regular communication and training initiatives. 
  • Develop key performance indicators to encourage employee engagement, lead situational and competency awareness and drive safety performance improvement where needed.  
  • Perform special projects or additional duties as requested by department Leadership. 
  • Create presentation data for executive management.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in environmental science, industrial hygiene, or equivalent experience. 
  • Proven experience 6+ in a leadership role overseeing health and safety programs in a global or multinational organization. 
  • Hold any of the following certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Health & Safety Technician (CHST), and Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST).   
  • Emergency management and response experience 
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.  
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change and new processes. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across several cross functional teams. 
  • Experience building processes in a high growth environment. 

Additional Information

Pay Range: $110,000-$125,000/yr
