Job Description

For VOSKER, data is crucial to achieving goals and continuing growth. The Data Architect plays a central role in mapping data and business needs. Aligned with the company's vision and data architecture, the Data Architect consolidates data structures, business rules, and their links with processes.

The Data Architect collaborates with all teams (marketing, finance, AI, development, ...) to develop autonomous data exploration and utilization.

Improving data understanding

  • Establish and document the needs of data consumers and producers, advising them on data interpretation and usage.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement.
  • Design and implement data lifecycle processes that ensure data integrity.

Facilitate discussions on data architecture

  • Work with internal teams to implement and enhance data architecture standards.
  • Contribute to improving the organizational strategy for managing sensitive data.

Provide technical leadership.

  • Enhance the Data Supermarket (data product distribution) for the entire organization.
  • Advise engineering and business teams on the use of data structures.

Qualifications

  • Experience of 3 to 5 years in data governance or data management.
  • Practical knowledge of data-related programming languages such as SQL.
  • Experience in using problem-solving methodologies and approaches.
  • Knowledge of operational processes, information management, and data quality standards and processes.
  • Knowledge of data governance software and tools, and ability to map data.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL best practices.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn quickly, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (English and French, frequent interactions outside Quebec).
