Job Description
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Classification: Exempt
Physical Setting/work location: Our physical office locations are in Grand Forks, North Dakota and Columbia, Maryland. In-office work is preferred for sales professionals located near these offices. Remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates based on experience and role alignment.
Base Pay Range: $55,000 - $75,000, based on experience
Commission: Unlimited commission potential, with target earnings aligned with industry standards.
Vorbeck is seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Associate to support pipeline development, early-stage qualification, and sales operations for our UL-162 firefighting foam product line. This role works closely with senior sales leadership to engage customers, maintain accurate pipeline visibility, and execute outreach across public safety and industrial markets. The ideal candidate is highly organized, energetic, and eager to grow into a full-cycle sales role.
Sales Development & Prospecting
Conduct outbound calling, email outreach, LinkedIn outreach, and timely lead follow-up.
Qualify early-stage opportunities and schedule discovery calls for senior team members.
Research fire departments, airports, industrial facilities, distributors, and related organizations.
Sales Support
Provide quotes, CRM updates, and basic product or technical information requests.
Attend customer meetings, demos, or burn tests with senior sales staff for training and exposure.
Support coordination of burn tests, training events, and marketing or awareness campaigns.
Customer Engagement
Build rapport with municipal, commercial, and smaller accounts.
Gather customer requirements, budget details, and procurement timelines to support qualification.
Provide consistent, professional, and timely communication across customer touchpoints.
Operational Support
Maintain clean, accurate CRM data and ensure visibility into the sales pipeline.
Assist with trade show logistics, event coordination, and preparation of materials.
Prepare presentations, recap notes, follow-up documentation, and other sales collateral as needed.
Additional Duties
Perform additional responsibilities and support special initiatives as assigned.
Travel required 10 - 40%.
Qualifications
Education (Required):
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Education & Certifications (Preferred):
Coursework or certifications related to sales, marketing, emergency services, or industrial products.
Training or certification in CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce).
Experience
1–3 years of sales or customer-facing experience; internships accepted.
Experience conducting outreach, cold calling, or prospecting in any industry.
Familiarity with B2B environments or public safety markets (preferred).
Experience working in structured workflows and using CRM systems.
