Job Description
As the General Supervisor - Forsell Line, you will oversee all production activities across the modular unit assembly activities at our manufacturing facility in Tracy, CA. You will lead the Forsell Line team, which includes overseeing the assembly, Flooring, /HVAC, drywall finish (tape, Mud & Painting), Electrical, and Finish departments. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that each production phase on the Forsell line is executed safely, on schedule, and according to specifications.
You will report directly to the Director of Manufacturing and serve as a primary leadership point for day-to-day assembly line operations.
Production Leadership:
- Lead all activities across the Forsell Lines
- Ensure that supervisors keep the traveler fully updated after work content is completed.
- Utilizes company dashboards to track the completion percentage of the modules and ensure production outputs are achieved
- Make certain that all sub-assemblies comply with our quality standards and are free of defects.
- Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to resolve production challenges and refine workflows
- Provide support to the design, engineering, project management, and other teams for incoming project
- Participate in process standardization and documentation efforts
Continuous Improvement:
- Apply lean principles to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Continuously implement improvements on the assembly lines
- Maintain a high standard of 6S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety).
Safety & Team Leadership:
- Enforce safety protocols by consistently wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Demonstrate leadership by exemplifying servant leadership principles.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to supervisors.
- Ensure that team members are held accountable for their actions.
- Uphold a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Administrative Duties:
- Ensure you and your supervisors have timecards approved on time for payroll
- Manage labor costs and approve overtime as needed
- Ensure you are properly planning out work for the day/week
- Timely response to all emails
Inventory Management and Accuracy:
- Maintain healthy buffer levels of all materials needed for the Forsell Line
- Ensure you have the necessary supplies needed to build at your point of use
- Maintain accurate counts of all tooling for your teams
Qualifications
- 7+ years of supervisory experience in modular, construction, or industrial manufacturing
- Strong background in building systems (wood framing, electrical, plumbing, finishes)
- Proven experience managing large teams and cross-functional coordination
- Working knowledge of modular building codes (modular preferred), and construction means and methods
- Ability to read blueprints and design documentation reading, and construction sequencing
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

The Salary Range for this position is $90,000 - $110,00 annually based on experience and qualifications. We also off the following benefits:
