Job Description
As an Electrical and EMC Engineer, you will be part of the Aircraft Engineering Team, where you will contribute to the system-related engineering activities as well as certification for electrical, electronic, and electromagnetic compatibility activities.
Your Tasks
- Participation in functional verification aircraft tests and EMI/HIRF system and aircraft level tests (preparation, procurement, and plan)
- Conduct design/qualification documentation reviews
- Conduct test witnessing
- Coordination with different stakeholders, including EASA, to define, justify, and technically negotiate requirements and action plans
- Generation or alteration of the Environmental and EMC/HIRF Certification Plan
- Defining inputs for the Environmental Conditions Specification
- Anticipate and mitigate potential electrical, electronic, or electromagnetic compatibility-related risks at the equipment, system, and aircraft levels
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in aeronautical science or equivalent education
- 5-10 years of professional experience as electrical/electronic aerospace engineer with minimum 2 years involvement in electromagnetic compatibility tasks, with knowledge of ARP4754A
- Experience in electrical and electromagnetic tests from RTCA DO-160 or equivalent standard
- Knowledge of the applicable electromagnetic requirements to Type Certification of civil aircrafts
- Good knowledge of the EASA regulatory environment and EASA practices
- Previous involvement in Type Certification Processes
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Excellent command of the English language
- German language skills are a plus
- Team player with strong communication skills
