Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

  • Act as Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor, as required by the German CAA;
  • Manage and provide theoretical knowledge instruction on Volocopter aircraft;
  • Responsible for determining that the syllabi for theoretical knowledge training and checking follow all applicable requirements;
  • Responsible for ensuring all trainees meet the theoretical training requirements imposed by the ATO and the German CAA;
  • Responsibility for evaluating flight training feedback, forward proposals, and initiating measures to maintain or improve the training standards derived thereof;
  • Act as Technical Officer, as required by the German CAA;
  • Ensures the continuing airworthiness of Volocopter aircraft for training flights;
  • Act as Safety & Compliance Officer for the ATO;
  • Implement and manage safety & compliance processes within the ATO on behalf of VCAS Safety & Compliance Manager;
  • Provide and coordinate flight operation support for training flights;
  • Conduct research projects for the future development of the ATO;
  • Act as deputy of the Chief Flight Instructor in his absence.

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • University degree;
  • 5+ years of experience in the aviation industry;
  • Experience as a commander on fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft;
  • Previous training experience as a type rating instructor;
  • Previous experience in leading teams;
  • Management experience and expertise in an airline training department, preferably in a comparable organization;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aviation training philosophies;
  • Practical understanding of safety management systems for flight operations;
  • Willingness and ability to acquire knowledge on EASA Part-M/Part-ML regulations.
