Job Description

Your crew during this flight:

As Finance Manager, you will be working cross functionally through all finance areas (Controlling, FP&A, Accounting, Taxes, Treasury) for the group and local entities and will be a key person for the finance transformation. You will report to the Director Group Finance and FP&A. This position will give you a fast track for your future career in finance.

You will support and be partly responsible for establishing & improving existing financial processes & systems end-to-end through all finance areas and will review our financial system architecture. You will be driving and maintaining process excellence to ensure compliance as well as user acceptance across all finance areas. You will support the integration of existing and new Volocopter Group entities into our global process and technology framework.

Onsite presence is required.

Your mission during this flight:

  • You will be responsible for optimizing our financial processes (e.g. R2R, P2P, O2C, Planning, Tax, …) end-to-end together with the process owners
  • You will be responsible for identification of performance requirements for processes & systems, creation of recommendations for actions
  • You will be responsible for defining, implementing and steering KPIs to measure the effectiveness & efficiency of financial processes
  • You will be a change manager in the finance department to accelerate automation and scalability
  • You will steer the implementation of new financial systems and the integrations
  • You will support cross functional projects, e.g. CSRD/ESRS/EU-Taxonomy implementations
  • You contribute to optimize our entire finance tech stack
  • You contribute to communicating finance processes into the entire organization and conduct trainings
  • You contribute to improve our internal control environment
  • You contribute to our monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures in accordance with IFRS (and local GAAP)

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  •  Min 5+ years of experience in Big 4 or consulting incl. experience in a finance department on financial systems, processes improvement & finance transformation projects
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment like a start-up or scale up desirable; ideally experience in a matrix framework
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with leadership team and experts
  • Experience with implementation of modern and digital finance and FP&A state-of-the-art technology
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 Business Central, LucaNet, Smartnotes, expense management tools, reporting, TMS, and more desirable
  • Experience with COSO Internal Control - Integrated Framework, change management, RPA, AI tools and SOX desirable
  • Have a minimum IFRS accounting understanding to connect the Financial Statements (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, Equity) and management accounting
  • Degree with a focus on finance, controlling, FP&A, or related fields; MBA, PhD, CMA or CPA are a plus
  • Fluent in English and German
