Job Description

  • Provide overarching certification vision and alignment within the CVE community, covering internal as well as external CVEs for composite structure and related subjects
  • Independent verification of compliance of the Type Design with the applicable certification basis, environmental requirements and operational suitability requirements, for all structural and related topics
  • Independent verification of configuration of test articles and test setup prior to conduct of tests with relevance to compliance demonstration
  • Ensure product safety and support certification through the competent authorities (i.e. EASA and validating authorities)


Additionally :

  • Coordination and management of other nominated CVE's
  • Verification of (typically aircraft-level) documents that include verification by multiple CVE disciplines, to ensure that the cross-functional aspects are adequately covered

Qualifications

  • Sound technical education (e.g. Dipl.-Ing., M.Sc. or B.Sc., Technician, certified master craftsman, or comparable)
  • Minimum 6-year experience in aviation industry, ideally in multiple disciplines and on aircraft integration level as Design Engineer or CVE, with participation in the design process of an aviation product, equipment or components thereof
  • Knowledge of procedures applicable to aviation, especially to design organizations acc. to EASA Part 21
  • Knowledge of certification requirements applicable to type certification, typical certification programs and related processes
  • Experience with interpretation of applicable Certification Specifications
  • Experience in generation and verification of compliance documentation
  • Detailed technical knowledge of aircraft structures and related subjects
  • Detailed knowledge of the construction method composite, metal and material qualification
