We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).

Your mission during this flight:

As Software Developer DevOps at Volocopter, you will be part of the CDO Resort. You work together with our product owners, partners, and UI/UX experts on high-quality software solutions. 

• Conceptual design and further development of the requirements for the VoloIQ platform
• Create and develop platform services as REST services (including application insights)
• Provide security & compliance in accordance with internal guidelines as well as other aviation regulations
• Maintain and further develop our Terraform Scripts
• Use of Azure pipelines for various applications (especially Web Services, Windows Services) including consulting, setup and maintenance of agents, build and release servers
• Use and configure tools like Visual Studio Code
• Consult customers and users on the possibilities of the cloud platform and its application in national and international teams 
• Project management in customer projects regarding the Azure Cloud Platform

Check in your professional skills:

• You have a degree in computer science or a comparable education
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position, where you gathered strong experience in software engineering in an agile environment
• Good knowledge in the field of hosting, especially regarding web servers and database administration
• You are familiar with Microsoft Azure cloud technology and the various service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• You are experienced in Python backend development, with Git, CI/CD setups and have worked in cloud-based environments
• You are an expert when it comes to monitoring / alerting and have previous know-how with Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes
• Excellent communication skills in English and German
• Reliability, ability to work in a team, and a high level of customer orientation paired with an independent working method
