Job Description

Your future Volocopter crew:

You will be part of our fast growing Quality Team and will join 6 experienced Aviation-Quality-Managers. We are working on different topics like compliance, approvals, quality-assurance and industry standards.

Your mission during this flight:

  • Support the Head of Independent System Monitoring in his surveillance activities on behalf of the Design Organization,
  •  Support the on-going Design Organization Approval program (DOA according to EASA Part 21),
  • Monitoring (auditing) engineering processes including compliance to the Design Organisation Handbook and EASA Part 21J,
  •  Planning, managing and conducting internal audits of the engineering design function, including the management of follow-up activities to ensure closure of corrective action plans,
  • Planning, managing and conducting audits of engineering suppliers/services,
  • Support process owners in verifying the effectiveness of the corrective actions,
  • Support the Head of Independent System Monitoring producing reports to management, highlighting any trends in findings and making recommendations for improving performance,
  • Work on any ad-hoc related tasks as directed by the management team. 

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. / PhD in aerospace engineering or similar degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a position with Engineering and Quality
  • In-depth experience with process models (V-Model etc.), aviation processes, (e.g. EASA Part 21 J and ARP4754) required
  • Experience in planning, managing and conducting audits of engineering departments and suppliers as Lead Auditor
  • Experience in DO160 / 254 / 178 is beneficial
  • Clear communicator and team player
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
