We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).

Your mission during this flight:

You have the amazing opportunity to apply the global communications strategy of Volocopter to one of the first markets where air taxi services will be launched. So you can enjoy the startup spirit and continue building on existing press relationships in Singapore and really shape the story for the city. 

As part of the communications team, you have the opportunity to pioneer and shape the story of Urban Air Mobility with one of the hottest players on the field. In your role, you will directly report to the Head of PR and help in communications projects across the entire company with a focus on the South East Asian Market. 

• You create, write, edit, and translate contents for external communications as well as Social Media Channels
• You continuously research and conduct press monitoring evaluations as groundwork for long term local/regional press strategy
• You localize and execute press strategy, finding stories for the local markets
• You work with media and editorial teams, build up and maintain existing media contact network, and develop your own key-contacts
• You help in evaluating, organizing, and executing external and internal PR events 

Check in your professional skills:

Required skills: 

• You have successfully completed a degree in the humanities, communications, languages, or equivalent education
• You have 3-5 years of practical experience in a PR agency and know the common tools used in corporate and product PR
• You are passionate about words, writing, and communicating
• Provable affinity to mobility, startups, or technology
• You bring personal initiative, team-spirit, and structured thinking and like to get things done
• You have a reliable, initiative, and solution-oriented way of working
• Excellent written and spoken English (native level)
• Fluent written and spoken Mandarin 

 Preferred skills:

• Additional language such as Japanese, Korean, or Bahasa
