Job Description

You will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of the Systems Engineering Configuration Management within Volocopter.

You will also be accountable for the implementation and maintenance of Systems Engineering CM functions, in assigned projects and products to assure consistency in the application of Systems Engineering CM principles and change control processes, over the lifecycle of projects or products.

Your Role:

As the Systems Engineering Configuration Specialist you will be responsible to:

  • Assure that company personnel adheres to the Systems Engineering CM processes
  • Managing the Requirements Baseline (both Prototype, Development and Serial)
  • Assure that a Systems Engineering Change Process is implemented and maintained
  • Act as CCB Chairperson for Requirements changes
  • Responsible for Managing the Test Environment Configuration
  • Responsible for Managing the Configuration Index Documents
  • Creation of templates for Systems Engineering and Test Management Requirements
  • Configuration Control of the attributes identified in the Validation and Verification Plan and the Requirement Validation Procedure
  • Managing Test Bench Configurations
  • Responsible for the release process of:
    • All System Engineering related documents
    • All System Engineering compliance documents including test procedures and test results
    • All requirement and design specifications within ARP4754A domain
  • Co-ordinating the release of Systems Engineering Requirements validation procedures and Documentation
  • Support System Engineering Configuration Management throughout the design gate review process
  • Day to day activities of Requirement Management tool (PTC Integrity)
  • Oversee the daily Management of Requirements Configuration Items

Qualifications

  • Working as a Systems Engineering Configuration Manager with 5 to 10 years of experience
  • Mandatory knowledge and work experience with ARP4754A
  • Knowledge of DO178C and DO-254 preferred
  • Systems Engineering Configuration experience within aviation
  • Educated to Degree level and or extensive Systems Engineering Configuration Management experience required
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM preferable
  • Experience with PTC Integrity preferable
  • Working knowledge of EASA specifications
  • Experience of EASA or similar industry standard audit processes
  • Good knowledge of the English language is required
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
  • Good communication skills and team worker
  • Good working knowledge of all MS-Office tools
  • Flexible worker, prepared to support and act in other functions across the organization
