We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electric multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).

We are looking for an engineering student with an aerospace background to assist in the development of the airframe and integration of systems. Within a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team you develop and refine the state-of-the-art composite structure of a future passenger-carrying drone that is key to its best-in-class performance.

Your Tasks

• Assist in building up a proper DMU of the full drone assembly
• Integration of system components
• Assint in developing a test plan for mechanical parts
• Assist in manufacturing
• Coordination and exchange of data and information with internal stakeholders and external partners

• You are a student in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or a comparable subject, ideally at the end of your Bachelor's or Master's degree
• You are available from February or March 2021 for at least 5 months (part-time, maximum 20 hours per week)
• You are a citizen or permanent resident of the EU or your current visa allows you to work in Germany
• Strong knowledge of Siemens NX
• Experience in composite design and manufacturing (preferred)
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
