We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. We are looking for you as our Controlling Business Partner Commercial & Financial Modelling. You will be creating, maintaining, and driving our financial models and analysis to directly support our decision-making for commercial operations at senior management level. You will be closely involved in setting up our financial data strategy & structure and financial planning & analysis processes, reporting to our Head of Controlling. The position is highly diverse, working on multiple exciting and challenging projects worldwide, with many stakeholders inside and outside Volocopter. In this data-driven role, you will need to deliver impact by interpreting business demands, building comprehensive financial models and analyzing & interpreting results to provide recommendations.

Your Tasks

• Contribute with your technical skills, business judgment, and creativity to build automated financial models & business cases providing strategic insights for our management and commercial departments
• Be the Controlling business partner to our commercial departments, including the regional headquarters and the (future) country managers
• Helping our commercial operations by providing scalable financial processes and financial insight
• Interface with key stakeholders across the business to define requirements, gain insight into information, relationships and dependencies and deliver results
• Develop, improve & execute prediction models and informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights business trends and opportunities together with our BI team
• You identify opportunities to improve results and standardize processes in our commercial and finance operations, adopting a “digital-first” and “first principles” mindset
• Take part in developing the financial data strategy & structure
• Contribute to continuously advance our budgeting and forecasting in a volatile environment
• Support our risk management, internal control & corporate finance

• Proven experience (min. 3 years) in a start-up, venture capital, management consultancy or investment bank in building financial models from assumption gathering to consolidated financial statements and discounted-Cash-Flow
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and VBA. Experience in scripting with SQL and a background in data visualization (Power BI, Tableau or similar) are a plus
• Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics with a quantitative focus
• You equally feel comfortable explaining your analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the trade-offs with the commercial team, strategy & business development
• Autonomy & pragmatism are two qualities that you embody; You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, where needs and priorities evolve rapidly
• Distinct willingness to learn and quickly familiarize yourself with new subject areas
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
