We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).

Your mission during this flight:

You will officially be based in Volocopter's Bruchsal office but we are working mostly remotely (in Germany) or travel between our Bruchsal and Munich offices.  As part of our Digital Strategy & VoloIQ Solution team you will be working as an integral part in the development of our operating system for the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem – VoloIQ. Further, you will assist in the development of Volocopter’s digital strategy and technology setup. 

Working closely with the Digital Strategy colleagues and our experienced Product Owner team, you analyze and build-up the strategy to develop the digital backend for future commercial air taxi and cargo drone operations. You support the team to initiate and maintain partnerships along Volocopter’s digital value chain, and you contribute to the further refinement of our company’s overall digital strategy and go-to-market approach, working closely with our CDO staff. 

• Strategic and operational project management support with the possibility to fully own project streams 
• Research and analyses related to tools, services, and data providers 
• Assisting in managing suppliers, strategic development partners, and internal stakeholders 
• Support in setup and execution of the scaled agile framework (SAFe) in our digital agile release trains (ART) 
• Research, evaluate, and contacting of potential partners & data providers in the urban air mobility market 
• Support the daily operations with direct touchpoints to leading roles at Volocopter 
• Preparation of presentations for the executive management of Volocopter 
• Creation and calculation of business cases 
• Market and competitor analysis 

Check in your professional skills:

• You are available for a minimum of 4, ideally 6 months (full-time)
• You are a student in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable subject 
• You are a citizen or permanent resident of the EU or your current visa allows you to work in Germany 
• You have already completed projects or internships in the fields of Management Consulting, (Agile) Project Management, Software Development, or similar
• You have excellent MS Office Skills
• You are familiar with and interested in relevant Urban Air Mobility and Digital technologies & disciplines such as e.g. Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Data Analytics, Software Development
• You are a communicative team player and have organizational and implementation power
• You show initiative, enjoy accountability and ownership, and have a solution-oriented way of working
• Excellent English and German, both written and spoken
