We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. Your Role

We are looking for a Production and R&D Controller, supporting us in building scalable Financial Planning & Analysis functions as a Business Partner. This position reports to the Head of Controlling. You will analyse drivers and trends of our business segments, reflect these in short- and long-term financial planning and provide our business owners the insights and guidance they need to successfully steer the company. You will work on solutions and standards for the worldwide pioneer of urban air mobility, with the unique possibility to learn working with agile teams and setting up Production and R&D controlling from scratch.

Your Tasks

• Business partner to our Production and Research & Development departments
• Introduce production & supply chain controlling from scratch
• Further develop our R&D controlling
• Working in projects with multiple agile teams and closely integrated in key strategic projects, such as industrial scaling of production and supply chain
• Produce insightful reports with meaningful financial and non-financial KPIs to facilitate decision making
• Contribute to continuously advance our budgeting and forecasting in a volatile environment
• Analyse the financial result to derive and implement measures at an early stage
• Identify opportunities to standardise and improve Production and R&D controlling processes
• Adopting a digital-first mindset for finance processes
• Contribute to our monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closure
• Support our risk management, internal control & corporate finance

• Particularly strong background in R&D, Supply Chain and Production Controlling is essential, ideally in the aviation industries
• Experience in a fast paced environment like a start-up or scale up desirable; ideally experience with managing controlling in the agile framework
• Degree with a focus in finance, accounting, or related field
• Pragmatic and results-oriented planning and forecasting mastermind, who understands how to rapidly plan financials in the context of business uncertainty
• Knowledge of Excel, ERP and BI solutions, ideally Microsoft D365 Business Central and PowerBI
• Strong intellect, combined with excellent commercial and analytical skills
• You are a teamwork enthusiast
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
