We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever manned flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).

Within a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team you as an experienced technical drafter will be responsible for the creation and documentation of CAD Design Data in 3D and 2D Design. You will  work closely with the structure and system designers to properly design and document components for the next generation of urban air mobility.

Your Tasks:

• Creation of single part and assembly drawings from 3D models
• Detailed designs and changes in 3D CAD
• Creation and maintenance of parts lists in the PLM system (PTC Windchill)
• Creation and maintenance of internal company standards for design and drafting

• Successfully completed training as a technical draftsman or technician specialized in mechanical engineering, plastic or fiber composite technology
• At least 2 years of experience in the field of technical drafting
• Experience in creating detailed designs in 3D and 2D CAD according to international standards
• Knowledge of German and English spoken and written
• Sound knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably Siemens NX
• Experience in aviation and fiber composite is an advantage
