Job Description


Oversee Digital Editorial Calendar:

  • Develop and maintain a master editorial calendar for all paid, owned and earned channels

  • Work closely with marketing teams (League Sales & Marketing, City Marketing and Brand) and other groups (Volo Kids Foundation, staff recruitment, etc.) to capture and incorporate objectives and messages into editorial calendar

Oversee Social Media Strategy & Content:

  • Develop strategy  for hierarchy of messaging (i.e. always-on/evergreen , seasonal, event, etc.) for brand social media channels

  • Develop channel strategy and cadence: Facebook, IG, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat, others as required

  • Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content (for all channels and ads)

  • Advisory role for city FB Groups

Manage Paid Social Media Campaigns:


  • Develop recommendations for paid media strategy in support of sales and brand objectives

  • Manage paid social media budget and campaigns

  • Regular performance reporting



  • Hyper-organized and attention to detail / process-driven

  • This is the perfect right brain/left brain position

  • Social media expertise required ( 4+ years of experience)

  • Campaign management experience from start to finish: from strategy concept to creative briefs to final presentation

  • Marketing project management experience, including partnering with internal marketing teams and external agencies

  • Experience contributing/overseeing media planning, targeting, and trafficking efforts for highly budgeted social media campaigns

  • Familiar with digital project management platforms (i.e., Asana ClickUp, Trello, etc.)

  • Experience with Sprinklr or similar social media management software (SMMS)

  • Can marshal resources effectively and comfortably navigate a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with minimal supervision

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Dynamic personality interested in working in, and contributing to, a fun and active sporting environment


  • Creative capability a plus - Basic graphic design and copywriting

  • Experience in sport or event management and/or business development capacity

  • Proven ability to manage a team
