Want to join a fast-paced, rapidly growing team that is driving VMware’s initiative to make developers a first-class user of the datacenter? The Cloud-Native Apps (CNA) team works collaboratively across all product and business groups at VMware to build technologies that span the application lifecycle, from the developer’s laptop to the production stack, and will transforms how companies design, build and run Cloud-Native applications. We are seeking an experienced, energetic and self-driven product marketing manager with exceptional communication, project management, and content creation skills to help evangelize our vision and product direction. The ideal candidate will be familiar with DevOps, containers, open source software and cloud management solutions.

In this newly created role, you will work with high-performing, customer-driven team members who love what they do and you will get exposure to diverse product lines while working cross-functionally with several teams. This is a rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor and drive new products into the marketplace.


Responsibilities

•Create positioning and messaging that resonates with target markets and target personas

•Develop successful marketing campaigns to drive awareness and product sales.

•Create compelling marketing content to support go-to-market efforts including: web content, blog posts, social media channels, presentations, videos, customer case studies, demos, and training materials.

•Evangelize company and product with customers, industry analysts, press, and executives at venues such as VMworld, VMware User Groups, vForums and technology partner events

•Create and deliver sales enablement training for VMware field and partners



Qualifications

•Minimum of 2 to 5+ years of experience in software marketing

•Bachelors in business, computer science or engineering. MBA or equivalent work experience desired

•Must be able to synthesize and simplify complex concepts and turn them into clear and concise messages

•Exceptional analytical skills and strategic thinking. Demonstrated ability to develop creative/non-traditional solutions.

•Aptitude to quickly come up to speed on new technology concepts. Passion to evangelize disruptive new technologies.

•Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

•Self-starter and proven team player in a high achievement-oriented environment.

•Demonstrated ability to successfully work across business units and companies and with high-level executives

•Willingness to travel 10%-15% of the time
