Job Description

Reporting to the Retail Fuel Pricing Strategy & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering strategic insights and recommendations that support fuel pricing decisions across the business. You'll analyse market trends, customer behaviours, competitor activity and operational performance to identify opportunities, evaluate scenarios and influence commercial outcomes.

Working closely with Pricing Leads, Fuels Marketing, Commercial Management and Data & AI teams, you'll act as a trusted advisor, helping stakeholders make informed decisions through clear, evidence-based recommendations.

You will provide:

  • Strategic analysis and recommendations to support fuel pricing decisions.
  • Insights into market, customer and competitor trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Forecasting, scenario analysis and commercial reporting to support business planning.
  • Executive-ready presentations, business cases and stakeholder communications.
  • Development of analytical tools, dashboards and reporting frameworks.
  • Collaboration with Pricing, Marketing and Data teams to improve performance and decision-making.
  • Data-driven recommendations that influence stakeholders and support commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in pricing, commercial analytics, business intelligence, strategy, revenue management or a similar analytical discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Power BI and Excel.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets to deliver commercial insights and business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making through data, analysis and recommendations.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of commercial drivers including revenue, margin, customer behaviour and competitive positioning.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex concepts in a clear and compelling way.
  • A collaborative approach, with the confidence to challenge thinking constructively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience within retail, FMCG, fuel, convenience or consumer services industries will be highly regarded.
