An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Terminal Manager to join our team at the Lara Terminal.

Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will lead a team of seven Shift Supervisors and take overall responsibility for terminal operations, ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the facility. This is a critical leadership role focused on delivering exceptional safety performance, operational excellence, asset integrity and stakeholder engagement.

Job Description

As Terminal Manager, you will champion a strong safety-first culture while driving operational performance and continuous improvement across the site. You will provide leadership across health, safety, security and environmental compliance, asset management, emergency preparedness and workforce capability.

Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE)

  • Foster and lead a culture that supports our commitment to Goal Zero and achieving no harm to people, assets or the environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSSE requirements, including Safety Case obligations, WorkSafe and EPA requirements, audits and assurance activities.
  • Maintain emergency response readiness by reviewing procedures, overseeing training exercises and ensuring emergency equipment is tested and maintained to required standards.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing operations team, creating an inclusive and engaged workplace culture.
  • Drive workforce capability through effective training, competency development and succession planning.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration and continuous learning across the team.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead the delivery of safe, reliable and efficient terminal operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, productivity and risk management outcomes.
  • Ensure operational and maintenance activities are planned and executed to the highest standards.

Asset Integrity & Reliability

  • Support the development and execution of the site's Asset Integrity Management Plan.
  • Lead the implementation of maintenance and capital improvement programs to ensure long-term asset reliability and performance.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, local government, community representatives and business partners.
  • Manage key operational interfaces relating to refinery scheduling, product availability, laboratory and quality functions.

Qualifications

About you:

You are an experienced operational leader who thrives in a safety-critical environment and has a proven ability to build engaged, high-performing teams.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience leading operational teams within industrial, energy, manufacturing, logistics, terminal or process environments.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and inspire others.
  • Experience managing terminal operations, asset management programs and capital project delivery.
  • A solid understanding of HSSE systems, regulatory compliance and safe work practices.
  • The ability to balance business priorities, stakeholder expectations and operational requirements.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging across all levels of an organisation and with external stakeholders.
  • A continuous improvement mindset focused on achieving operational excellence and sustainable outcomes.
