Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Distribution Engineering Team. This newly created role will report to the Tank Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for a portfolio of tank maintenance projects at our fuel terminals in Sydney, NSW.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of major tank maintenance works at Clyde and Gore Bay fuel terminals in Sydney.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders to challenge, optimise and align tank offstream scopes, schedules, and execution strategies with business objectives.
  • Maintain strong field presence and oversight of contractors to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with industry standards and company policy.
  • Drive continuous improvement of our tank maintenance processes to enhance cost, schedule, safety and quality performance.
  • Establish and maintain effective project controls including budgeting, cost forecasting, progress reporting and risk management.

Qualifications

About you:

  • You will have an engineering, construction or maintenance background and be experienced in the management of brownfield capital projects and/or major maintenance works.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, mining or similar heavy industry sector.
  • Solid technical knowledge of operations, maintenance and project requirements in a major hazard facility.
  • Experienced leading procurement and tendering processes, including tender evaluation and contract award.
  • Experienced coordinating project commissioning, handover and closeout activities.
  • Able to positively influence a diverse stakeholder group that includes senior management, operations, contractors and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of API650 and API653 would be highly regarded but is not essential.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
