Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a 12-month Maternity Leave Contract role as the Lubricants Supply Planner who is responsible for developing and executing the supply plan for all products in their portfolio to ensure the right product is available at each location in order to meet customer orders.

This role is key to identifying and maintaining the tactical parameters for replenishment planning, to ensure efficient and effective sourcing and replenishment of products throughout the network. As such, SPs have a very significant impact on Customer Service and Cost. This is a commercially focused operational and tactical role.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Ownership of end-to-end supply chain for their portfolio:
  • Determine and successfully implementing strategies to support all aspects of the supply chain within their given portfolio.
  • Achieve challenging working capital and OTIF targets.
  • Ensures all replenishment planning parameters are understood, reviewed and maintained. He/she owns the setting of the stocking strategy and relevant safety stocks for the SKUs and locations in their supply portfolio.
  • Provides forward visibility of primary transport requirements and ultimately drives delivery of the primary transport budget.
  • Participate in analyses during the Lubes P&D Leadership Team meeting as required to define and evaluate tactical options for resolution of supply constraints. Ownership and management of inventory:
  • Monitor and respond to inventory levels against targets defined e.g. inventory days cover, working capital, for the supply portfolio.
  • Continuously improves supply chain optimisation, inventory holding (including warehouse capacity consumption/utilisation) and customer service (e.g. OTIF and Backorder Accuracy).
  • Accountable for eliminating waste (e.g. preventing excess stock, identifying slow moving and potential obsolete SKUs) for their supply portfolio.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of prior experience in procurement, production, or distribution planning.
  • Proficiency in Supply Chain concepts and application. 
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling large data sets.
  • Experience using ERP and MRP systems
  • Knowledge of Oracle JD Edwards highly desirable
