What you can expect from us?

Background on us: Saket (CEO) was an early stage VC for 3 years (La Famiglia & Global Founders Capital) and previous to that an operator at Rocket Internet. Greg (CTO) has both a finance software and machine learning background, as an ex-Tech Lead at Commerzbank for their web apps and former co-founder of a DevOps ML startup. He’s scaled early technical teams before.

Job Description

As our first product designer you will shape the visual identity of our core product - you will decide about everything from visual language to the shape of the buttons.

 

  • We will give you pretty much all the responsibility you will want to take. We’re not design-illiterate, but we won’t “help” you with putting “that toggle over there, 2 pixels higher”.
  • You will hire the team around you and lead them along the way.
  • You will decide on the product workflow, cooperate with and participate in hiring the Product Owners
  • You will have a very high degree of input into how our product looks like.
  • Together with the CTO you will build a robust process on delivering the design and making sure that final product reflects the quality you want.

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of your day to day toolkit — whether it’s Sketch, Figma or Adobe Suite, you know how to use it alone and with the team
  • Remarkable communication skills in English — you will present your work, take input and iterate with other people on a daily basis
  • Organisational skills - you will lead a team once the moment comes and we need to hire more designers; you have to be able to organize your and others’ work
  • You have extremely deep knowledge in UX, standards and practices of the field, and are capable of researching the missing pieces
  • You are able to make the best of resources and constraints you’re working with
  • Sense of ownership. You will have to establish processes and standards that people will have to follow.
  • You have a great portfolio.
  • Prior experience in fintech is a major plus
