Job Description

Based in our Geneva office and part of the Futures Middle Office team, you will work closely with our global Front Office team, composed of traders and assistant traders. You will interact daily with the Futures Execution Desk, which centralizes and optimizes worldwide Futures and Options flows within the oil business. Acting as a key control point for the team, you will oversee every order placed on the market, promptly identifying and escalating any execution discrepancies while supporting traders in adapting their trading strategies when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Futures contract expiries, monitor opening exposures, calculate and confirm live exposures throughout the day, and validate final positions.
  • Provide traders with daily reports summarizing volumes and average prices, grouped by trading strategy.
  • Configure and maintain new products and contracts according to their specifications, in close coordination with the IT team.
  • Perform T+1 trade reconciliation against clearer statements.
  • Calculate, report, confirm, and process daily margin requirements and payments.
  • Manage daily FX exposure hedging in coordination with the FX department.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting compliance (MiFID and REMIT) and produce related statistics.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing our internal software through collaboration with the IT team and/or self-development in Python.
  • Maintain and continuously improve existing software and tools to ensure they remain up to date and fit for purpose.

Qualifications

  • Strong Python programming skills are essential, with the ability to develop new scripts, enhance existing software, and implement innovative features.
  • Experience in VBA scripting, troubleshooting, and debugging is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, are required; French proficiency is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with numerical data and eager to deepen knowledge of Oil Futures and Options markets.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while delivering results efficiently.
  • Flexible and willing to work on a shift schedule.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills, a clear sense of priorities, and a proactive mindset that goes the extra mile to achieve success.
