Job Description

The candidate will be familiarised with the credit risk profile of the businesses within Asia.  Escalating significant credit risk issues, facilitating the execution and improvement of risk management processes and providing solutions to traders to achieve the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support onboarding and assess the credit worthiness of trading counterparties
  • Prepare and monitor credit exposures, limits and overdues of the Asian portfolio on a timely basis
  • Prepare credit reviews and requests to Credit committee
  • Provide inputs to improve credit risk frameworks, processes and methodologies for new products and markets
  • Advise and work with various stakeholders to implement appropriate credit mitigation tools including insurance, trade finance, netting and guarantee agreements
  • Keeping abreast of market news and developments impacting portfolio
  • Participate in counterparty meetings with traders and marketers

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 4 - 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking, oil majors or commodity trading firms
  • Hands-on and proficient with data, numbers, quantitative and qualitative credit metrics
  • Team-player with open, non-political style and high level of personal integrity
  • Energetic, resilient and resourceful, with the ability to work accurately under reasonable pressure
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
