Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  1. Working with the Asia Pacific General Counsel on non-trading and shipping matters including investments, merger and acquisitions, financing (including prepayments), other corporate and regulatory matters; 
  2. Providing day to day support in relation to non-trading and shipping matters such as guarantees, non-disclosure agreements, etc;
  3. Working with and managing external counsel in connection with all non-trading and shipping related contentious and non-contentious matters; and
  4. Working closely with the Compliance team including in connection with the drafting and negotiation of sanctions, anti-corruption provisions and regulatory matters.

Qualifications

Experience and Characteristics:

  1. Minimum 3 years PQE;
  2. Highly responsive;
  3. Capable of managing a large workload, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines;
  4. Team player with an open, non-political style;
  5. Flexible and available to pick up urgent matters which arise out of business hours; and
  6. Extremely strong drafting and communication skills.
