Job Description

The CI Process Engineer will assist in developing and improving business processes by performing process assessments, project planning, collaboration with stakeholders and process users, process observation, baseline metrics collection, and follow-up to ensure sustained results. They will work with the process staff/management teams to maximize workflow and spatial utilization. They will apply the fundamentals of science and math to create practical, useful solutions that will improve our efficiency, quality, and safety throughout the companies.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and/or 5-7 years in manufacturing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferably accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ideally Black Belt
  • Experience using continuous improvement methodology including Lean principles, Statistical Process Control, Design Of Experiments, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, PDCA, etc.
  • Familiarity in MCAD Software (Solidworks), 2D CAD (AutoCAD/DraftSight)
  • Fixture Design and Fixture building with mills/lathes/3D printers
  • Thorough understanding of ERP systems (Syspro) including Bill Of Materials, and Routings
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong computer technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Power Apps, Power Query, Power BI, and programming languages including VBA, C, and Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge in statistics and six sigma

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with project team to ensure on-time project completion.
  • Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.
  • Lead the efforts of time studies to determine and reduce Labor costs for new and existing products.
  • Design and implement fixtures to aid in proper production manufacturing and quality control testing.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing to eliminate waste (Scrap), improve quality (PPM), reduce production time (Efficiency), and reduce costs of manufacturing (Labor Costs).
  • Utilize Six Sigma techniques to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control or Plan, Do, Check, Act on any Vista manufacturing or business process.
  • Design and develop Operations and Routing Steps for new product and existing products.
  • Create Vista work instructions for every new product and improve existing work instructions.
  • Assist maintenance in troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues.
  • Support departmental budget and create/produce supporting documentation required for CAPEX on equipment (ROI).
  • Follow all requirements to support Vista Quality Objectives.
