We are looking for a talented art director who isn't afraid of rolling up their sleeves. Here in Halifax, we're a small but mighty office who love to multi-task and work together to get things done. In short, we're on the lookout for an Art Director/Designer with 5+ years experience who understands how to integrate all formats of design with digital technology. want more info? no problem.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and contribute to creative concepting for breakthrough experiences that perfectly match our client’s strategic objectives.

  • Inspire and collaborate with you team members to produce ground breaking, thoughtful, relevant work, focusing on innovation and quality.

  • Design intelligent and engaging, interactive experiences for a wide range of client types and target platforms.

  • Understand and work within project parameters: client goals and requirements, internal goals, usability, technical constraints as well as budget and schedule.

  • Be a conceptual thinker

  • Confidently bring your work to the finished phases including print production and output of digital work

  • Oversee and contribute to the production of your designs in all phases and provide direction to designers

  • Serve as a key creative voice on your projects though all phases of work including discovery, concepting, pitching and production

  • Oversee and guide design interns to help them learn and grow

 

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years experience as an Art Director/Designer

  • Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and Sketch is a plus

  • Dynamic presentation and communications skills

  • Out of this world when it comes to design ideas and innovation

  • Communicative, flexible and patient under tight deadlines.

  • A collaborative individual with an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Good listener, strong conceptual and design skills and able to handle and learn from constructive criticism

  • Experience working with all different mediums (OOH, Broadcast, Digital)

  • A passion for emerging technology and a hunger to innovate
