Job Description

As a member of our technology team, the machine maintenance technician will report to our Production Manager and assist us in keeping our equipment running smoothly by performing preventive maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Although experience within our industry is not a requirement, we are looking for a candidate with strong technical and mechanical aptitude. We utilize computer-controlled high vacuum coating equipment. Ideal candidates will have the ability to independently troubleshoot and repair our systems, once acquainted with them. 

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance and reactive troubleshooting on the following equipment:

·         Buhler/Leybold SYRUS Pro 1350 electron beam deposition coating chamber (1)

·         SatisLoh 1200 DLX electron beam deposition coating chamber (4)

·         FISA Ultrasonic Cleaning line (1)

·         Sandblast Machine (1)

Essential Job Duties:

·         Aid in daily vacuum chamber cleanings.

·         Complete preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and auxiliary equipment.

·         Machine performance monitoring and reporting.

·         Reactive maintenance and troubleshooting.

·         Other tasks deemed necessary by the organization.

·         Maintain the maintenance log.

·         Communicate the need for backup components necessary to keep the equipment running.

·         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

·         A minimum of 5 years total experience in a technical maintenance role. Manufacturing experience a plus but will consider technicians from other industries. 2 or 4 year technical school or applicable military experience may be applied to the 5 year requirement.

·         An ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.

·         Ability to maintain and repair hydraulic equipment.

·         Experience with electrical systems (240v/400v/480v) a plus but not required.

·         Experience with vacuum systems a plus but not required.

·         Experience with chillers a plus but not required.

·         Written and verbal communication skills.

·         Basic math skills and computer proficiency.

·         A willingness and ability to learn on the job, including learning new technology that you are currently unfamiliar with.

·         The ability to work on your feet for a full shift and perform physical activities.

·         Some supervisory experience is desired.

Additional Information

This is a First Shift Position (7am-4pm), Monday-Friday. Overtime will rarely be required, however we ask that you be available by phone/text to support after hours.
