Job Description
The People Business Partner (PBP) function at Visa is a trusted advisor to the South Cone (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay y Bolivia) leadership team, translating business objectives into talent priorities. Operating in a dynamic payments environment, the team delivers strategic and operational people solutions in partnership with Centers of Excellence and other People Team stakeholders.
Role Summary
As Director, People Business Partner (PBP) for SouthCone, reporting to the Head of People, you will lead a portfolio of client groups and contribute to broader People priorities across the market. You’ll partner with senior leadership to drive a transformational talent agenda, enabling Visa to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on talent and organizational matters.
- Lead workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and development strategies.
- Provide guidance on organizational design and change management.
- Deliver coaching and performance management support to leaders and employees.
- Collaborate with COEs and other PBPs to implement tailored people solutions.
- Analyze organizational metrics and assess HR program effectiveness.
- Support Visa’s Employer of Choice strategy in the technology industry
- Manage regulatory and legislative HR reporting requirements for the region.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA//MD)
- 12 to 15+ years of HR experience, preferably in the technology sector and progressive HR models.
- Proven success in delivering strategic and operational HR programs across dispersed regions.
- Expertise in workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, and cultural change.
- Strong influencing, interpersonal, and executive communication skills.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to manage enterprise-wide initiatives independently.
- Experience partnering across all organizational levels and functions.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required
